Thinking of trading in my D4 for a FFRR.

FFRR is a 3.6 TDV8 59 plate vogue se with 21,000 miles on the clock and we're going to view it this weekend at the local LR dealer.

Anything I should be aware of with regards to known faults etc etc?, is there a big difference between the 3.6 TDV8 engine & the 4.4 TDV8 engine in relation to fuel economy, I'd love the 4.4 but they are a wee bit out of my price range at the moment.

If it's town & county on Wellington rd., they're usually pretty good with their trade in values but don't expect a bargain screen price as they are generally inflated up here.

A lot of the guys I know up here that dabble in the trade as a hobby sell private in Aberdeen but buy from down south. doing that you can sell higher than your p/x price and pick up a cheaper car, which might push the 4.4 into your price range?

Yes, its at town & county, screen price is £44995. My D4 is only 18 months old so still has full LR warranty but the FFRR is 3 years old so a tad nervous about changing to something older. The D4 is on a PCP so it will depend on what is left as a deposit after paying this one off.

TnC also have a 4.4TDV8 so may worth a drive of that to compare. At least that 59 plate has the facelift and TFT screen.

I prefer the Engine and gearbox in the 4.4. The 3.6 maybe a bit on the expensive side although it is a vogue SE. We were looking to do the reverse of your swap (2011 4.4tdv8 for Disco4 and cash for house renovations) and have been quoted £42K
as exchange price.....what spec is your disco4....

My Disco4 is an XS spec with optional arm rests, electric seats, tinted windows and 22000 on the clock. When I traded my old D3 in for this one I got a good px deal, paid £31500 for the D3, traded in 13 months later for the D4 and got £30000 for it from the same dealer so hoping to get a good deal from them again
