Until I got my RR with dimming mirrors 09+ Audis are damned bright to be behind on the motorway. Either all Audi drivers are complete pricks and drive with their main beams on, or it's a factory configured thing.

Thank YOU guys for trying this stuff for us. And thanks for the kudos!
Had this conversation with Craig via PM: we are not programming anything on our own. We are giving access to options LR or BMW programmed into the ECUs. So if Main Beam DRLs are an option, some engineer somewhere was thinking something (or maybe not...) And if sidelights are not there, they are likely not an available option (Christian programmed nearly all available DRL options in, I believe). Craig made a very valid point: main beam DRLs eliminate the possibility of flashing them (as a warning). This might not even be legal - at least in GB or the EU. We will probably remove this option to avoid probs. RRC 2Dr, RRC 4Dr, P38, and 2 L322s (wife thinks I'm nuts - prob right, too) |

Apparently VW lights have a dual filament (hi/lo power) in the main beam to allow for main beam DRL's. Maybe BMW thought the same for the RR but never implemented it?

There are options in the IIDTool menu for less power to the DRL Main Beams.

Just to make sure no one missed it: 2.17 was released for all users. If you have an IIDTool, login to the GAP website and go to the 'MY GAP' tab. RRC 2Dr, RRC 4Dr, P38, and 2 L322s (wife thinks I'm nuts - prob right, too) |
