Very mundane, went to tyre fitters to have my rear tyres turned on the rims (well actually swapped on the rims). Old timers may remember I get excess wear on the outsides of the rears, well before a suspension rebuild am trying to get the most out of my grabbers and get some even wear. Once I have that, I may even swap fronts for rears (fronts not wearing at all).

However this is only putting off the inevitable of what will probably be a full rear end rebuild, possibly with new bags too. .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink

Mundane stuff, replaced the locking wheel nuts with standard ones, searched in vain for the reason the rear upper door speakers don't work - took drivers seat out to inspect wiring it was fine. Took it for a drive - the gearbox linkage greasing tip seems to have done the trick, no more dropping into neutral at inconvenient times (when is it ever convenient Shocked ) and the sun is shining so i think open air pool at gym this afternoon. Might give her a wash this afternoon/evening after I cut the grass - however did I have the time to work Question Geoff

United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Bonatti Grey

Well today we spent a lovely day at southport beach with the FFRR taking the picnic and the picnic wicker basket and went to park and as always the Audi drivers made the carpark a right state so I went a bit further on where there was an empty area! Bit soft but easily within FFRR abilities and then 10minutes after starting lunch and done other non 4x4 type vehicles had parked near us a warden came along and said the area was meant to be blocked off as it was too soft so could we all please move so no more parked there. So I did by parked up one of sand/grass banks where we were told was ok, finished the picnic then went for a nice walk along the beach. Cone back to find loads of other cars basically abandond and one rover 75 upto it's sills in the soft sand with a few pickup drivers nearby not really looking like they wanted to help so out came my snatch strap and up we hooked. Low range on, height up due to a high concrete lip and just let the car take the slack up then a bid of power and she pulled clean out Smile then I had to get they said sand trap as the only way out of the car park and I could feel the FFRR sink into so quickly made haste by turning the dsc off and putting some power on and easily cleared it.

Then picked up 4 more wheels which will be cleaned up and for sale on the bay soon and then drive back to my new digs and the FFRR and it's ac just lapped up the miles Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

What did I do today? 550 miles in one long hit!

Well, not today, but Saturday. The folks were on holiday up in Yorkshire when a young lad who'd only had his car three weeks pulled across a dual-carriageway junction on front of them, resulting in a hefty smack.

My old man's 78 now, and although he said he was fine when he spoke to me on this phone to start with, he then called back and said he couldn't face driving home. Thing is - I live in Kent, and they were in Yorkshire!!

Still, the FF coped admirably, there and back with only a couple of brief stops for fuel (us and the car!).

Went to the Lekki Conservation Center with my ladies for a nice walk in the bush. Unfortunately I was not allowed in with the FFRR so we had to follow the walking trails (raised boardwalks as part is swamp) and the youngest is not the lightest of loads when she decides that she has walked enough Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

I discovered how to work the voice recognition system. And spent every journey phoning my husband to pester him and tell him that the car can make calls without me having to touch the phone or screen. Very Happy

I hope the novelty wears off soon, my phone bill is going to be massive otherwise. Wink

I sat in traffic watching another FFRR approaching, and wondering whether FFRR drivers wave at each other! My other car is a modded Smart Roadster, and most Roadie drivers will wave. But it suddenly occurred to me that in the RR, I don't know the etiquette!

Can someone enlighten me, please? Cool
