Best exhaust / rear bumper mod for 2007 s/c?

want a good looking finish - but also some noise as i find the s/c very quiet - too quiet - need a little, but not too much, volume...

maker and pics please!

thanks 07 S/C in Java with Ebony

question of taste - just think LR didn't really think about the exhausts and standar looks like an afterthought.

can't get any worse! overfinch looking good and very tidy. 07 S/C in Java with Ebony

If you want to change the look as well as the exhaust note, then I'd go with something like the Overfinch set up that Steven Gazard has....I think it looks neat, but then that extra bulkiness on the lower part of the rear bumper isn't to everyone's taste.

But if I remember correctly you're the guy adding an Overfinch roof spoiler too - so I'm guessing that the subtle factory look isn't your bag! Wink

If you just want a better sounding / performing exhaust then I'd recommend a custom made stainless steel system, rather than something off the shelf.

I've had a couple of Powerflow exahusts on previous (sports) cars and they were great. You could choose endless options with regards to the look / sound etc.

For what it's worth, my personal opinion is similar to Stan's - why add loads of 'bolt ons' to an already great looking car? Sometimes less is more. If you went for a Powerflow (or similar - like Longlife) you could keep the factory look, but add as much rasp / noise as you like.

That said, it's all a question of personal taste and the world would be very dull if we all liked the same things.

Just please promise me you won't go for one of those quad pipe systems that end up sticking out below the rear bumper....someone pass me the bucket... Big Cry

By the way, I think the exhaust Gary posted would look fine as the pipes sit under the car....it's the quad pipes sticking out the back, under the rear bumper that I have an issue with....again....it's all a question of personal taste I guess. Past (too many to list, but a few favs)...

The Wolfrace will not stick out but should look pretty good (IMHO)

If you go for custom built just be careful .... the bore size of the pipe has to be specific for the SuperCharged engine ... I had terrible problems on a previous SuperCharged Sport with droning ... took three attempts to get right ....

That being said you certainly pay a premium price for the Overfinch kit which is ultimately the same as a bespoke stainless kit with Overfinch stamped in it where no one sees anyway Smile Stephen Gazard

You could try QuickSilver and Larini

QS -
Larini -

The videos are not as good as they sound in person, but both provide good quality systems rather than some generic boxes welded together. Overfinch would be the best quality option though.

Why not go for the design pack rear bumper with tail trims and then get a custom cat back system made to hook upto them that takes away some of the muffle off the standard back box?? FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
Mantec Sump Guard, Rigid Load liner, MY10 BT upgrade.
