Idly reading a watch thread on another car enthusiasts site and found an interesting little thread on pairing watches with the cars the owners drive.

Hmm I was about to post what I wear but then I saw the "Fake Rolex" comment for RR and thought better of it. I wear a Rolex Submariner as a daily watch because it's so precisely engineered, a thing of utter beauty, extremely tough and very understated compared to other £5k+ watches. Kinda like a FFRR .... (maybe apart from the precisely engineered bit)

I have a Seiko Arctura Kinetic. It winds itself up (a bit like the missus - but that's another story).

This did prompt me to take a look at the Hublot website then after selecting a model that appealed to my taste, quickly realising that if I wanted one, next years holiday would have to be to Thailand.

Although technically a Kinetic still has a battery so it's had some nasty chemicals used in it's creation (bit like a Prius). To be truly eco-friendly get a proper automatic, although prices can vary from £50-£500,000 .... 07 Supercharged - Still breaking her in! I love my Casio Edifice, it is a bit like the RR, heavy, very nice to look at and works quite well (at least mine does, touch wood).

20th Anniversary watches were done by Kobold but the rest I can't tell. Looking at them I would assume Citizen or Tissot from their looks. 07 Supercharged - Still breaking her in! I don't have a watch, I just sit in the Rangey to check the time on the dash |

This is news to me, I didn't think it had a battery in it. Oh well, I promise to change another light bulb to LED that'll save the planet! Had it, loved it! 2007 Vogue SE TDV8 Stornoway Grey / Ivory Climatic Seats, RSE, AFS, Deployable steps, iPod kit. |

Well I can hardly talk. Even if my watch is "green" every time I floor it in my car a polar bear drowns. I floor it a lot ... David Attenborough must hate me! 07 Supercharged - Still breaking her in!
