Car refused to move

Odd one this, wondered if anyone else had had it. Started up the RR coming home tonight, put it foot on break (felt a bit solid, but did not thing to much about it). Put it into drive, foot off break and the car would not move. Put it in and our of drive and at that point thought the break peddle felt rick solid with no movent. Then noticed both the battery and oil light were on !!!!
Turned off car, turned back on - break peddle went it normal , a bit soft to the foot and car drive normally (no error lights). Does the RR have some system that disengages drive and licks the breaks when it has some trouble ????

Sounds like the engine hadn't actually started!

The reason the brake (not break!) pedal was solid was because there was no vacuum assistance as the engine wasn't running!

My "Someone is being cheeky about the Td6 noise" alarm has just gone off !! Laughing

Hopefully, you had just not started the engine.

Not as easy to tell as a petrol, as the fuel gauge tends to stay in one place whilst you are putting your seat belt on.

(It's started........)

Seriously, the Td6 is a bit pants from outside noise wise, but having had a remap, mine is much better, and inside, unless you are giving it a bit of welly, you don't hear it as much.

Rolling with laughter

WHAT ???

It's hotter in the sea where ?

........half past two..........

i must admit, the V8 suits the RR better. My 3.9 Classic was quite nice, but not 11mpg.........
