Black Paint For Exhaust Back Box ?

I was reading the thread about the black lettering on the tailgate, and someone mentioned that they paint the rear exhaust silencer.

What paint do people use ?

Would look much tidier from the rear.

Assume it needs to be a bit heat resistant...........

Black silk was mentioned. Is that the one for the model kits ?

Cheers

Heat resistant paint for stoves, chimeneas, ovens etc. Cheap as chips from B&Q or homebase etc.

I use matt black exhaust paint from halfords. It does not reflect any light and keeps quite clean as well. The dirt does not seem to stick to it?! Did it last year and it's still fine.

Edit... Just checked tin..

Very high temperature engine enamel paint... It goes on like water and dries quickly. Previously..

Great suggestion. Thumbs Up

I've just bought a new spray can of satin black off eBay.

£10 delivered. Saves me nearly a gallon of unleaded going to Halfords and back. Mr. Green Si. <This is my name.

Ohhh, it's getting bad when people are getting more pleasure out of working on their RRs than driving them - due to fuel prices... Rolling Eyes

The current fuel prices don't stop me driving anywhere, but I do have to save up before I can go home again !! 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

There's no pleasure driving to a grotty Halfords and parking an immaculate FF in an undersized parking bay and paying crap prices for a product that's easier and quicker and cheaper to buy elsewhere. Whistle Si. <This is my name.
