Door lock broke, cant open door

Hi guys,
I have a broke front passenger door lock, or cable of and can't get the door to open from inside or outside. I know this is a common problem, but have done a search and can't find anything about it. Any help pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated

Thanks for that,3rd one down helped. Managed to get panel off enough without any damage, then smashed door lock off.new lock fitted and working. The way I done it was undo 4 screws holding panel on, remove B post trim along with front door seal, remove black window trim from door panel and then a gentle lever to remove it from top clips. You are then in to the lock mechanism, all in an hours work and £81 for new lock. I took pictures of job in case anyone needs help
Thanks for the help Stan
