Drivers heated seat not working

So I discovered today that the heated seat function no longer works, the light just goes off after a few seconds. I have searched the forum for info. The test mode doesn't work. I have checked for lose connections.

it's probably the seat element, and my warranty won't cover it.

There are seat heat elements on the bay but they say they are from 07 on? What is the difference?

Are the heat elements for 06 built into the leather seat covers?

I have had suspension errors I have put down to the battery, could this also be the case here?

Thanks

I think that the seat element was integral with the leather upto 6a9999999 and separate from 7a000001 acording to what i can deduce from microcat. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Sounds exactly what happened to my 2006 SC
Passenger heated seat worked fine but driver's seat light went off after 1 or 2 seconds and never even warmed up !
Before you make the same mistake I did, and order from LR then throw the old covers away, check out the advice given to me by others on the forum.

it may be worth testing which one back or squab is broken. if its like any other element it will have electrical continuity if good and show none if bust. easily testable with a multi meter.

Just a thought, but if you have java black leather and the back is gone......

Thanks, so I'll just wait to see if I can get a bargain on the bay for sand leather covers

Don't fancy shelling out much for new covers, BUT it will play on my mind, and the seat could do with nice new cover..

We shall see how it goes, preferably before winter..

Thumbs Up Thumbs Up
