Rear washer blocked / not working.

When I try and wash my rear window I can hear the motor trying to squirt the washer fluid, but nothing comes out.

The fronts are perfect.

Is there an obvious place where the feed splits from the washer fluid bottle? I'm guessing the most likely thing is that a pipe has been disconnected somewhere, but I don't know where to start looking...

TIA. Past (too many to list, but a few favs)...

if i were you, i would undo the three screws that hold the rear spoiler on, lift the cap off the wiper arm and clean out the nozzles and inside the cap, before you go doing anything else. there can be a load of crud in there stopping the water from coming out.

always start easy and work up. Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

+1 Thumbs Up Fist call is remove the cap and try it without the cap fitted...

Did mine the other week, disconnect the plastic valve, get an airline attached to blow out the gunk from both the valve & the pipe feed to rear washer. Have a bucket handy when you disconnect the valve, it it's anything like mine, loads of muck came out .

Good advice Craig and Stu.

Took off the spoiler easily. Took off the cap easily. Washer worked fine and sprayed me completely all over!

Got a safety pin and cleared out the tiny metal nozzles in the cap and put it back. Spent ages faffing about to get the spray angles right but all well now.

One of the easier jobs I have done and apart from a wet jumper no damage done by me for a change.

Cheers! 2012 5.0L S/C
