Scratched kick plates / door guards.

Anyone got any ideas on how best to tackle the swirls and scratches that are all over my metal kick plates (the ones that run along the sill as you open the doors) - mine have a very nice "Supercharged" motif on them.

I was thinking about some Autosol - but am worried that it might take out the etched logos.

Any ideas? Pics if you'd had success sorting these yourself would of course be awesome! Thumbs Up Past (too many to list, but a few favs)...

autosole is abrasive so it will remove fine scratches, it will do the same on the logo, but i think you will find they have been polished and lacquered, check on a small corner and if the cloth starts to go black then its not lacquered but be careful around your logo V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

Maybe you could get them refinished or anodised. You can get the supercharged bit off by gentle prying, its held on with doublesided tape. Or buy non Supercharged ones (Cheaper) and swap the logo. I did this and it worked fine.
