I guess we will have to see how many sign up. Over the last 25 years of off roading on the plain we have always had less than 6 vehicles. Keeps wardens happy. Several areas that we used to play on have been lost because of over large groups so stealth is best plan.

i would be interested in a trip, but depends on the date though.

Im going at the end of this month with the landyzone guys, but i recon its going to be muddy and scratchy and wet, and full of fenders and discos

would be good to get out with some other ffrr's

Craig you're right. Just spoke to Richard (navigator) who said the wardens aren't too fussed. Will be posting some dates shortly.

I'm up for it, especially the non scratchy part. Let us know the proposed dates. 'An it's Tommy this an' Tommy that,

I'm interested. I'll try and drive with all wheels pointing in the same direction next time!! Razz Actually joking apart, my new Pirelli Scorps got wrecked in the ruts last time so that turned out to be expensive. Not keen to do that again.

So it's either 'non-damaging' or I'll have to invest in a full set of wheels and tyres for off roading once or twice a year. Or buy myself another LR just for off-roading and do it more often. Actually not a bad idea.... now I'll just talk to the wife... Whistle 2012 5.0L S/C

After much diary inspection we suggest that the trip goes ahead on Saturday the 7th July. Just before the holidays, Saturday to allow all to wash off the dust (and cry if you have let the red mist descend) and also to avoid the rambling Sunday walk crew.

We will have, in addition, from my regular gang a FL2 and shiny P38. This will allow us to split up the groups with a leader if necessary.

If you can look at your diaries and confirm we will get on with planning the route.

Is the intention to be completely non-damaging? __________________

The plan is to make it non damaging. I would expect you to return home with a dusty car (given the time of year) with the option of mud. We will plan to avoid the scratchy areas and if we come across anything that needs pruning would do so. If you do not wish to attempt a section there is normally a way round by road to meet up with the group again.

I used to take my RR through anything and never had anything that did not polish out, but the desire to do that much polishing has long gone.

The intention of the day is to take L322s out to stretch their legs, meet some of the faces on the forum, socialise, drink tea, watch the foolhardy (me generally) attempt more than is prudent and generally have a day out.

Like that pick up Craig

Looks the biz

I might be up for this but probably will not take Robert the rangy but might take Terry the trayback!!

Bought it a few months ago and dont want to wreck it! so this will be a bit of a shakedown.

I was asked on the last trip to consider taking my FF but really didn't want to cause even a small amount of damage so was asked if I would drive the Disco considering the ethos of the forum and the event... Well since then I've had her all painted Orkney Grey so an almost as precious about the paint on the Disco now!!! So ethos will be remembered this time too Thumbs Up

OK, I saw that a few people were asking if another green-laning day could be organised and "stepped up to the plate" to coin an American expression and have organised a day out. Now find that we may only have two takers both of whom will not bring FFRR [which isn't a problem unless they want tougher challenge] leaving mine as sole FFRR attendee.

Anyone else intending to come?

If you cannot make it and indicated that you were interested can you let me know what is stopping you so we can fix it for you next time?

We will be meeting at Stonehenge on the byway. Map 184 SU118 421. Safer to access westbound from the A344 and eastbound from A303.

We will meet with the aim to leave at 09:00. I will PM those confirmed with my mobile number details closer to the time. I will also have a CB tuned to channel 40.
