Exercise For Health

As I was lying in bed pondering the problems of the world, and I rapidly realized that I don't really care .

It's the tortoise life for me!

1. If walking is good for your health, the postman would be immortal.
2. A whale swims all day, only eats fish, only drinks water, and is fat.
3. A rabbit only eats vegetables, runs and hops all day long, and only lives 5 years.
4. A tortoise doesn't run and does nothing energetic, yet it lives for 450 years.

And you tell me to exercise! I don't think so.

Now wanting to get serious over a joke, but I've transformed my health over 5 years with good food and exercise. Lost 25% of my original bodyweight, probably reduced my biological age by 20 years at least, and extended by life expectancy by the same amount.

Try picking up a 25 kilo dumbbell, and then think if you'd like to carry it around 24/7. I've started back in competitive athletics this year, and just decided to go for the Masters Pentathlon.

The great thing is, I see a reflection of what I do in my kids, the more I do, the more they do, and the more they listen to and respect me when I talk to them about their sport. Kids have this habit of doing what we do, not what we tell them to do!

But that's just me! Very Happy Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!
