Hello y'all!

Newbie here. Already asked a few daft questions and wanted to introduce myself here.

Am picking up a 2007 S/C (Java with black leather, piano wood trim & rear entertainment) next weekend - did the deal just today.

Will probably not sleep properly this week and will alomst certainly spend money all week on bits and bobs before she arrives.... Thumbs Up Past (too many to list, but a few favs)...

Evening all,

Not a FF owner yet, ran the idea past the enemy a week or two ago and she's well struck on the idea so once we move house I'll be on the lookout for a FF, circa 2002-2007 vintage preferably with a v8 LPG. Til then she's gonna have to slum it in her Clio 172.

Arch

Hi Arch -

I'm sure you will anyway, but do your research on LPG'ing the V8 - especially the Supercharged. I'm not the most mechanically minded - but there's something about soft valve seats that can mean that they don't lend themselves that well to being LPG's (or so I'm told).

I'm sure it can be done perfectly well, but make sure you do your homework! Thumbs Up Past (too many to list, but a few favs)...

Razz JFB, Didnt mean to sound snobbish. But petrol is cheap here. A shade over 1 Pound Sterling for a gallon of 98 Octane unleaded. But they are planning a 40% hike sometime this year!

P.S; Congratulations on the '07 SC. Smile RR

Didn't sound snobbish at all, I sometimes travel to both Dubai and Qatar on business.

I remember the taxi driver in Doha filling up his car for about £5!!

Tax is a killer!! Past (too many to list, but a few favs)...

Hi, I am in the process of upgrading from a Freelander 2 and trying To decide between a Discovery or a FFRR.
I know the service requirements of the Disco but can anyone tell me when the cam belt should be changed, age and mileage on a FFRR.
I have seen a few advertised with mileages of between 70 and 120k miles but no mention of belts being changed.
Any help would be greatfully appreciated.
John.
