Window fully down, hold switch for 5 seconds or until you hear a click (whichever is soonest) window fully up and keep holding button for 5 seconds or until you hear a click (whichever is soonest)...

Might work, might not but worth a try Mick

I had the same prob on my 2008 xf, stratstone replaced both front controllers under warranty, you may be able to persuade them to do the same even if out of warranty if it has been the subject of a technical service bulletin. You can search here for info. http://www.mycarstats.com/reports/jaguar/xf/tsbs.aspx

Hope this helps. Agueroooooooooo. 93-20

Mick, it needs a software update on the window ecu. Wifey's was the same from new. It's just too sensitive on the obstruction detection.

Dom.
