Vibration!!!!!

Hi all

i have read all the messages on hear about T/Cs and G/Box issues and would just like to post another one lol.... i have a 2005 td6 that has just had the box re-conned 2000 miles ago, today it has started vibrating between 1500 and 2000 revs this is only apparent in this higher gears. i have tried it in sport and because the sport mode holds it at higher revs i dont get the vibration. Do you think that the garage that did the work will have worked on the T/C when reconning the gearbox????

sounds like a typical t/c prob, best check with the garage to see if they done the t/c or charged you for doing it...what happened to the gear box. V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

Hi the box was done three weeks before i purchased the car but i was told it was holding high in the revs and making a noise then lost drive!!!!!!! i have 12mths warranty on the box dont have a breakdown of work carried out but i would never change an auto box without changing the T/C as running in same oil????? If i could would you!!!!

go back to the garage, as you said,i would not do one with out the other but if your a garage to make a profit, keeping the cost down is a must..hope you get it sorted as you dont want it to start breaking up and wreck the box.. V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

Sent a couple of emails over the weekend one to the dealer and one to the guy who re-conned the box, the dealer is trying to wash his hand of it as i made him an offer on the car and we agreed a heavily discounted price and that i was going to use the car for towing???????? i will name and shame at the end of it all. However the guy who reconned the box sent me an email just sayin "contact me to book it in" so i did and he has said call him when i know what day i can take it to him and he will look at it the same day and if it is anything to do with his work he will do it right away!!!!! how good is that? he gave me a blow by blow account on what had been done to the box and torque converter, in a nut shell everything in the box was replaced and a new torque converter fitted so happy FF owner i hope.. if all turns out well i will post the guys name and address on here....... If i could would you!!!!
