around 10 or more years ago i approached several of the large tv manufactures with an idea i had, it was a tracking device to work with anything that had an antenna and would send out a registered code, if a tv,radio ect got stolen as soon as it was plugged back into the electric it would send out the code. none of them were interested in the idea and still to this day they have not incorporated such a device, there view was if your tv got stolen they would rather you buy a new one then have any chance of getting your old one back. best place would be to tap the power running in the rear right corner that powers the trailer lights and stuff ... then have the phone tucked up and under the rear quarter window shelf area ( the bit with the vents on it )

I did say built in, I was thinking more along the lines of integrated into the electrics, ie hard to get at and impossible to remove without immobilising the car |
