Hi Adrian,
......That said, if we had a volume order (50+ units), it would be quite thinkable that we build a permanently installable module that functions with the cruise control buttons and provides this functionality...

If it could be done for less than getting the old screen pixels fixed then you might have a market.

Craig, Gary, Geoff, straight from the source:

We are working very hard to release V2.17 next week… of course that is, if all the planets align. Cheers all!

Adrian - we use the display as our primary source of info...We are working on a (VFC - very cool) alternative/supplemental display option, but this will take time.

Sorry I didn't explain my problem properly. It is the LCD screen on the radio that packed up on my car not the one below the instruments.

Oh, I understand.

You mean we could offer a module that might help people without a MID display. So no radio but functioning on board computer? Smile I think the market would be more or less limited to people such as yourself or Pretlove who have installed the aftermarket satnav. IIRC many of these run on WinCE - it would almost be easier writing a script to run off these.

Shoot Mattstevenson a PM. He's written a script for his CarPC that does this and I believe he's running Windows. Maybe you can work something out.

Alternatively, if you find 50 or so buyers for a little module, we could prob do it. Razz

This maybe a 'numpty' question but ....... My IIDTool came with firmware 2.14, I check the website regularly but haven't seen any updates to download.

I presume the 2.17 will be the next version when released and that 2.15 and 2.16 haven't been officially released to non-beta testers.

Cheers,

Grant

Within about 10 mins of my post above I received an email from the GapDiagnostic boys with a new username and password which allows me to get access to the My Gap and download the latest firmware. The original email got lost in Trash!

Many thanks!

Yeah, Geoff called me something along the lines of a cyber-stalker, but "in a good way" Laughing

Not too difficult. Email notifications for threads is on - and if I have time I'll check 'important' threads immediately. I passed this on to Patrick (keeper of all records/engineer Razz ) who was just finishing the day in Canada and also happened to have time.

Unfortunately it probably won't always happen this way.

Does anybody know if the latest update mentioned above is out as yet and if it definitely does turn off the TPMS system. I have been waiting to buy an IID Tool until it can reconfigure the door locking settings and turn off the TPMS system, I will be very glad to see the back of the TPMS warning light which appears to have a mind of it's own!

Thanks, Jon. MY2007 S/C - Stornoway / Jet
