As I will shortly be moving up from a Sport to a proper Range Rover, I have ben thinking about access to the boot. With the FFRR having a drop down tailgate does this make reaching items near the rear seats awkward or impossible? I can manage with the Sport but the tailgate puts me another foot away at least, so how do members overcome this problem other than closing the tailgate and leaning over the top.

Park on a really steep hill.....*or* buy netting for small items to be stowed on the sides |

Leave the lower tailgate up to reach far away items, then lower it to drag heavy items out. Alternatively you can sit on the edge of the lowered lower tailgate to help you reach further in |

47p2, I like the idea but not enough room in my garage to swing a cat, let alone a lariat.

Also, drop car to access height, gives a few more inches reach.

JustinP has my favourite suggestion so far, sit on the tailgate and reach in. It's just that I hoped a £70K+ vehicle with everything powered would have some automatic means of retrieving such out of reach items just by the press of a button. |
