Yes, a great relief compared to some of those other impressions. Looks great. Not sure what sized wheels will be needed though to fill the wheel arches. Loving the possible performance of V8 diesel. Also loving the near iPad sized central display unit.

And I bet Bentley are a bit concerned about the look of their proposal. They were getting a lot of grief as it was. Now they know the competition! Hopefully this is the start of more and more appearances in the press from now on. |

Pretty much, but Autocar have it without the camouflage and some snatched interior shots. |

Yes, a Range Rover-shaped bar of soap after two weeks on the sink. Lost its dignity. Those weird vent/ripple things down the front edge of the door are also on the Autocar render, they surely can't be a styling feature. |

The bit's inside are a good read too, especially the DC100 family which has been so well received that the shape/ form may appear on a sub-Freelander lifestyle car with the Evoque's floorpan. Disappointed that all the other Land Rovers (as opposed to Range Rovers) look distinctly like DC100's and the two new RRS's (5 and 7 seater versions) look like small L405's........... I know it's all Autocar guesswork though.

You say that this is Autocar's guess regarding future product plans but to be honest it's more likely an 'on the record' 'off the record' briefing by LR PR team. It's a way to keep customers keen and to generate an Apple type anticipation. If you're in the market for a 7 seater X5 you may reconsider your next purchase in 3 years time if you know a 7 seater RRS is on its way. There's no guessing in this story. It's the latest thinking but exciting as its a 'scoop'! |
