Petrol/diesel queues..

Went to get fuel tonight en route to a job.. Tesco Cupar, fife, was mobbed. Queued for around 20 minutes. I asked the kiosk girl if it had been like this for long... She said it had been non-stop since Monday!! They were running out of fuel. She said people had been queuing for 30 minutes and puting a fiver in the car just to top it up..
I can only assume that the government made the statement about filling up the car and fuel cans to get supplies low and make people Censored off with the unions about the strike.... It's 2 weeks away and people are getting silly about it now. Previously..

I think the drivers went about it all wrong.

They should have had a meeting the night before they striked to vote on the strike.

Problem with fuel wouldn't be half as bad then.

I do think they earn a fair whack as it is for their job, the danger they deal with and their skills too Smile

But something needs to really be done about the current price and tax on fuel as hitting £1.50/litre this summer is just crazy. We pump enough of the stuff from the north sea and other areas that we should be able to control the price a bit and start pushing OPEC to be more realistic.

Again when we saw Libya was going down we should have got of our a55's and said to the 'rebels'(at the time) " we can send our troops in and end this quickly, BUT, we want the 60-70% of the oil for us and you get geddaffi's money to go back into your country and we will also send a lot of help to assist in rebuilding and getting you all back on your feet and to re-establish your economy after he's been pistol whipped." Deal or No Deal??

We would have whipped him into shape, got him trapped within a week or two at worst and they would already be well on their way to be being rebuilt and recognised in the world order and yadda yadda yadda Smile

Nuff said Very Happy

I Don't know what these queues are people speak of. the last time i got fuel put into my car by an attendant, and there was no queue and never has been Smile Drove past today and no queue either Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

No queues in Chobham yesterday and, surprisingly, none at my preferred village Shell garage.

Which was a right ar$e, as I figured my Shell place would be manic, so felt the need to put 60 litres of Total in instead. D'oh!! Si. <This is my name.

Just seen them all queuing up near me. I was on one of the bikes, which probably does need a gallon or two but CBA to queue up. Might try again later and see if it's quietened down.
