This is crazy - they haven't even decided on when to strike yet - or met to decide that. Just filled up (as I was on empty so not a panic buy) and the forecourts are starting to fill up with cars again. Just heard on the radio that someone was transferring petrol from one container to another in their kitchen and had the cooker on ......very severe burns - and all this because my local MP ( wit ) - suggested people go off an stock up on petrol.... "On first name terms with my local Dealer......now."

It is daft though....yes the petrol stations and government have made a load if cash, but for the next week or two no one will need any fuel so the petrol stations and government. Will see a big slump in their cash flow!

Sorry, but I have absolutely no sympathy for her. You have to be a monumental 'tard to do anything with petrol near an open flame. 1 x Darwin award please 2006 Mercedes CLS 1991 Retro-style Mini But really finding it hard to fight the urge for a S/C... |

Just went into Halfords and I noticed a bloke walking out with a jerrycan. When I spoke to the girl on the till about it she said they sold out last on Thursday but had more in today and they were flying off the shelves.

I am just amazed at how stupid the general public are. A casual throw-away comment from a minister, who was speaking "into the future" should a strike arise, and doesn't know the capacity of a jerry can (or its definition - he could have meant the 1 gallon ones - for emergencies), and the country goes crazy.
