2003 Range Rover HSE Td6 Atacama Sand
Totally confused.....Ipod,2003 TD6 HSE and how to connect???

Hi all
I'm thinking of getting my wife an iPod connection for her Birthday but I'm having an information overload!!

Ive read on here about the Intravee thing and the Alpine thing but then when looking on various websites I've seen things like BMW - Mini - Rover - iPod / iPhone integration kit V3 on carputer's website, which do the same thing or do they?
I ideally need a shopping list!
We have a 2003 Range Rover TD6 HSE with built in sat nav.

Many thanks

Simon

Hi Simon,
No idea exactly what a V3 is or where carputer's website is, but basically to integrate an ipod with the earlier L322 radio/Nav you have numerous options:
Dice, Grom, Dension, Intravee, etc.

The Intravee (for which you need the Alpine unit as well) is the most expensive but by far the best (check the additional features that the Intravee gives you in the other threads here).
The others all work fine, tho. They simply emulate the CD changer so they only allow 6 play lists (=6 CDs). Rolling Eyes
Just don't get the FM modulator solution as you lose too much sound quality and for your RR there are too many possibilities for only a small amount more to justify this.
RRC 2Dr, RRC 4Dr,
P38, and 2 L322s
(wife thinks I'm nuts - prob right, too)

Cheers for the replies. If I order the following will I have hit the nail on the head?

Intravee II
Alpine KCA-420i
Ipod/Iphone 5v charger thingy
Long Ainet cable

Is there any thing else I'd need?

Cheers

Simon

You do not need to order a long Ai-NET cable unless you are going to fit the unit away from your iPod/iPhone as one comes supplied in the Alpine 420i box.
