I contacted Britpart and got the details of my local Britpart sockist - trouble is he's a man in a van and I've left him several messages but had no reply Sad

Must get one of these toys soon or I'll die.... Big Cry

I buy stock from all over the country and have things from Britpart dealers sent to me from here their and everywhere...

Find a decent dealer and get one sent... Better then waiting for man in his van to remove his finger from his arse and get back to you...

Probably the best idea - can anyone tell me the price of the IID tool?

I've got Navcoder working OK - using the beta that plugs into the OBDII socket and also got the BMW software working (sort of) in a VM on Laptop - that also talks to the car OK - but it's not very user friendly.

IIDTool seems to float between £250-£260 + drat, I was first contacted by a dealer that quoted £250+drat, but wanted another £15+drat to deliver it, and it would take a week. Went online, put in the correct part number for the unit I needed and voila Smile Land Rover Addict

Blimey - there's a name from the past!

I've not used John Craddocks since they really let me down badly, and then refused to help sort out the mistake they had made, 20 odd years ago.

Hi guys,

Does this tool also allow you to set your side mirrors to fold with your key fob,

Hi Sal,
Been through this discussion on P2&3 of the thread.

It could and it would - if the option were there. Unfortunately, we can't program into ECUs what is not there to begin with. We can only re-configure the options Land Rover provides in the first place and, for whatever reason, LR decided they did not want to include this as an option.

Short of re-flashing an ECU or adding an additional bit of electronics there is no way to do this.

Hi Steve
Will future updates be able to drive the Trip Computer.
I replaced the head unit with an aftermarket one fitted into a PowerfulUk stereo panel in my 2003 TD6 HSE (non Nav).
The old trip computer unit display is sad and has a few lines left. It only gets used occasionally to reset time and consumption. I did bring the plug up through the dash top speaker housing and it hides under the grill
If the Gap Tool would drive this then I would be very very happy

Hi Adrian,
Despite the fact that it is quite doable and that there is a (limited) market for functions such as this, writing and validating the sw is still quite a bit of work. As much as we'd like to build the do-all, end-all, perfect system that makes everyone happy, we do have to think in terms of economics. For this reason, I can't imagine that we'll be including this in the IIDTool's functionality any time soon... Sorry. Sad

That said, if we had a volume order (50+ units), it would be quite thinkable that we build a permanently installable module that functions with the cruise control buttons and provides this functionality...
