Easiest way would be to use one of those fuse adapters on the front fuse that supplies the feed for the accessory sockets and ten it could be run up the a pillar and tucked into the head lining Smile

This is what I plan for my blackvue, or hook into the power for the sunroof motor as its ignition fed Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

It's a long run. but you could tap into the live ignition feed in the left hand boot cubby (feeds the radio) then run it up through the C pillar and then the headlining. Or under the carpets and tread plates to the lower A pillar cover then up.

Is there no live ignition up in the interior lighting panel?

I prefer kingpleb's idea though. Off to have a look for fuse adapters? .

@mr pleb and joe, thought about the run from a live of a ciggy socket but i thought there might be a 'tap in' at the interior light cluster so as to save that hassle .. found this on the d3 site and this bloke uses a fuse adaptor thingy

@jez, went for the cheapest unit i could find on ebay... goes onto a camera tripod screw on to a suction pad

You could always find an ignition controlled spare fuseway on the front fuseboard and plug into the live terminal with a male spade connector, then use an in-line fuse which could be located behind the cover of the fuseboard.
Cable from the fuseboard, up the A pillar behind the trim and then poked behind the front edge of the headlining.

Stan... If you have an "incident" does it stop recording automatically? Or in the heat of the moment, or battle!, if you forget to tell it to stop and save, will it just record over the "event"? Previously..

@nicedayforit, probably the best way to go as i dont think there's an ignition feed in the interior light cluster

@contraband, there is a setting for a 15 minute video recycle which i assume that once it gets to the end of 15 mins it will re-record from the beginning so there will always be a 15 min loop so to speak...i suppose at time of 'incident' i'll have to make an effort to stop the recording, at least i'll have 15 mins to think of doing that...

there are a few videos on youtube re this model which are interesting... ... - .- -.
