I cant get a photo as I'm away from home at present, but last week when I put a new battery on the TD^, I noticed a metal 'thing' beside the r/h side (as you look under the bonnet) suspension mount, it had 4 of 5 thin metal pipes going into it, that ran back and along the bulkhead.

Where the pipes fit into the thing, they screw in, one of them isnt in as far as the rest, would there be a reason for this? It felt tight, but is protruding a lot where the others are almost flush

Any ideas?

Sounds like your talking about the ABS modulator. If it aint broke, and your getting no errors ... dont touch it. Its a sensitive beastie if messed around with, and not a cheap fix. V8 or else ...
