Last year, I had a fault message: air susp. Inactive. The lights went out on the control knob as well. I took it to Colliers in Birmingham, who reset it for free. Their technician said he hadnt seen this particular fault before, which added to the confusion.
Anyway, it's happened again.
This time though, for some reason, the front suspension is higher than it should be. No quite full height mode but higher than normal.
The funny thing is, this fault only re-occurred when I'd reversed onto my drive, which slopes slightly towards the house.
I'm hoping Colliers will take pity and reset it again but I'm starting to think its something that will need looking at in the near future, rather than a software glitch.

erm, more seriously, drop her to access height and reset to normal might fix it. You sure it's not a front height sensor though?

My suspension sometimes acts up too. It does say suspension lowered when in fact it's not but none of the controls to adjust it work. What I do is, disconnect and reconnect battery. Turn ignition on, turn wheel fully left and fully right then see if ur suspension goes back to normal when u drive off..works for me..

Yep. Disconnected it, left it for half an hour then reconnected. Turned steering from left to right but hasn't cleared it and still no LED's on the controller 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

I had something similar. The maindealer wiped the fault codes and all ok since

I would try a new battery if not relativly new already after that i would put a new complete compressor assembly in the boot as most faults stem from lack of pressure or faulty valves on compressor and then go from there as for what a dealer will charge for diagnostics and repair will cover a new compressor onto no6 Range Rover

Or save yourself the money for a dealer visit and purchase a diagnostic tool for yourself. There are a couple of people here on the forum selling them...

As you'll need the fault cleared this way or that I would definitely have the fault read before throwing money at the RR. Post the fault code and we'll see if we can help.

+1 finds out the error and take it from there.

The eas is pretty good at resetting itself for minor errors but harder faults logged persist ... So find out what it Is.

The eas tools and diagnostics are worth it IMHO. V8 or else ...

It is worth remembering that to do the wheel alignment thingy (lock to lock) it needs to be before you move away after starting engine.

As in - if you drive off with suspension working, then it goes wrong and you pull in and do lock to lock this will not work.

You need to pull over. Turn off engine. Remove key and wait until all lights have gone off on dash, gear selector etc. The restart the car, keep in P or N and then do lock to lock before the car has moved. That should bring it back to life.

It won't cure a problem though so best to get it looked at and fault codes read.

I got a code C132 Lost Communication with ride level control module which appears whenever i get 'suspension fault'
