Yeah, that's the one, cheers Scarey. Mine doesn't seem to be completely right after a warranty tailgate replacement and I'm just deciding whether to ask for the trim to be replaced or not.... I think I'll let sleeping dogs lie and put up with it. |

Fairly sure it's just a cosmetic piece of trim, rather than forming part of the seal. You had to place doubt didn't you!! |

Cheers Simon. Hmm. The 2 cars I've seen without the trim were 57 plates (and yours makes 3) and mine is an 07 WITH the trim. Wonder if it's a variation across the years. I'll be looking at every car I see now!! |

Thanks for the pic Scarey, that's the one. On the cars I've seen without the trim, there seems to be a bit of clearance between the glass and bodywork. The trim on mine (and as per your pic) just looks like a finishing strip to match the way it's finished on the side windows. So has it fallen off these cars, or been removed, or intentionally omitted at the factory I wonder.... |

Here's the back of mine to start you off with this weird hobby of seeing who does and does not have a finishing strip

The finishing strip was dropped on later models for a cleaner fresher look.
