Xenon headlight

Help!

LH headlamp went a bit flickery, then after switching off lights hasn't come back on. Swapped bulbs round - its not the bulb. Likely to be the ballast?

I've scored one on the bay for £45. But until it comes, any other ideas?

Does sound like a ballast- they need several thousand volts to ignite the gas. This would explain the flickering.

Good luck!

Cheers Happy.

Just hoping I've not wasted £45 because it's a hidden fuse!

As another question - is there a seperate igniter/start unit or is that build into the ballast? i.e. should I get a starter or igniter as well?

Hope so - although I've seen another part number 307 329 059 which may or may not be a seperate ignitor...

I'm confused and worried - or worried and confused, I'm not sure which.
