2007 TDv8 lumpy on start up?

Hi all I recently bought a TDv8,which has developed a problem,it would start misfire at random, I bought this car from a Landrover main dealer so I called out Landrover assist, on his vist he said injector 8 was the problem,so off to my local Landrover to be fixed ( They are the same group ) Wink
The next day my local Landrover called to to say that injector 8 is the problem, but the warranty I have does not include Injectors Evil or Very Mad
Having only had the car for 5 weeks I told them that I am not paying and was going to take it back to the dealer i bought from to get my money back.
Later that day I got a call to say that they would fix it for free Thumbs Up
On collecting the car I started it up and it was lumpy,by time I got service guy out it had stopped,he said run it for a few hundered miles and see how it goes.
Less that 20 miles later it's still there Evil or Very Mad
When I start the car from cold it very lumpy and smokes like f Censored
On searching the Internet I think it might be the EGR valve, could this be the problem has I have no engine management light on the dash?
I had my TD6 for 5 years and the only problem I had was one faulty injector, what should I do???

Thanks Ash

Sounds exactly like when one of my EGR's went, and there was no fault on the dash then either. Twice a week or so it would start up and run lumpy, then bellow black smoke everywhere. Both EGR's replaced under warranty solved it.
