2002 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Zambezi Silver
Just purchased 02 Vogue and I'm a happy Man but need help!

Hello everyone,

Been wanting one of these for awhile now and day eventually came.....
I love it to bits. It has a few issues that need to be addressed but hopefully with a little help from peeps on here I can get them sorted.

First Problem : Heated Front Drivers Seat - Press switch LED illuminates for 2 secs and then goes out
Second Problem : Someone has stolen the Module out the back which I think controlled Mobile Phone . There is a black plug and a aerial wire sitting there.

Any help on either topic will be appreciated,
Thanks, James.

Probably only pre wired for telephone , like mine was. Source a bmw ulf from somewhere and an antenna plus microphone and you will be good to go.

I got mine all sorted this afternoon.

Do a search on here for bluetooth and ulf .

Can't help with seat.

Welcome to the Range Rover information hub !

I've posted a list of ULF #s here more than once. Do a search with my UN. If you can't find it, I'll re-post. No time to look at the moment.

Have a look on bimmernav web site, they show how to fit their kit, picture by picture........

The bay of e will be your best bet for stuff.

ULF Part Numbers ;

The newer gen the better, though more expensive. Avoid the first gen. I got one for £40 from the bay. Works, but I understand it can drop calls and things.

84 10 9 154 358 current production 13th generation

From various places on the net - double check before you order.........

1. ULF (Bluetooth Module) see above
2. Bluetooth Antenna (BMW part 84 50 6 928 461)
3. Mic (if your car was not already have phone system) you may as well get the upgraded one (BMW part 84 31 6 938 762).
4. Bluetooth Antenna Wire (BMW part 84 32 0 138 217) short and meant for trunk mount.

Do a google search for bmw ulf or bmw bluetooth or such like.

Start with the bimmernav site.

The 54 pin black plug will need rewiring. You can get a new plug from Audi, as they sell it loose, £2.46 inc VAT I think. Audi p/n 4e0-972-144.

Cheers

Welcome.

Are you certain its the telephone box thats gone? Just wondered as your car is a 2002, maybe the previous owner removed the TV tuner as it wasn't going to receive analogue signals any longer?

If you are not sure, post a pic of what's there in the back left box and someone clever on here will be able to tell you what's missing - especially worthwhile before you buy parts.

Re the heated seat, does the passenger side or rears do the same? Have you checked the fuse? Check the connections to the seat underneath? Discovery 4 HSE

I think if the older telephone TCU or even a newer ULF is in the car "Telephone" will appear as an option on the nav screen (and should work).

The TV tuner is silver and has 2 plugs, white and blue, plugged into the top of it, below the Navigation unit and slightly nearer the back seats, at floor level, in the left had side of the boot.

ULF

Hi all,

Okay, got myself a ULF Module 13th Generation and just rang BMW for the aerial , Wire and Microphone.
Everything available except the connecting wire between aerial and ulf.
Anyone any ideas ?

Cheers, James

Is the wire not just a UHF lead with FAKRA connectors on ?

Can you get the part from Land Rover instead ?

Is it not there as part of the prewire, like the 54 pin connector was ? - mine was there already.

Get the blank 54 pin connector housing from an Audi dealer, as this will make the pin rewire much easier...........

No problem.

The Audi part number is 4E0 972 144 if you are ordering the socket for the rewire.

For the pairing button .........

you need to short pin 32 from the ULF to ground to simulate the pairing button.

The ground pin on the ULF is pin 36, so you can use that if you don't want a switch in the front of the car.

The brown/black wire on pin 36 is the ground for the unit, so you will need to have it connected to the ULF as well when you short pin 32.

I put a "chocolate block" connector in the brown wire (don't know what the correct electrical term is !!) so I could just touch the wire from pin 32 to it, as required, without losing the ground connection to the ULF, if you see what I mean. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8
