i have just had a new turbo but im still getting lots of white and blue smoke I have fitted the new vortex breather and housing but still the same so restripped and the turbo is fine but i seem to have a lot of oil in the induction and the compressor side of the turbo but seals look fine !!! has anyone had problems with crankcase pressure ? to add my dipstick is not blowing out and i dont have too much oil in I inspected the vortex to see if i had filled up but only condensation !!! turbo technics are saying it sounds like crankcase blockage ???????????

Your inter cooler would be my first stop.

Strip it out and tip it on its side and see if any oil comes out after a few hours. This needs to be at least 15'c and over a tray as they can store a fair amount of oil.

If any comes out I'd use a gentle application of heat to the metal part of the inter cooler and it will help make the oil more fluid. Them when you think you have as much as you can get out, out, pour half a tub of fairy liquid into it with a half cup of water. Then seal the ends and shake like hell for as long as your arms can go.

forgot to add when i restarted i got engine run over when i tapped the throttle and lots of smoke . my turbo ahd failed badly so do you think my intercooler coud have partially filled ?

Certainly!! On a diesel if a turbo fails its always worth checking the inter cooler as they can suck it up and then over run on the oil alone, go past their maximum design rpm and then self implode. Hi was the turbo losing oil on the exhaust side or the inlet side?
Had a turbo blow on my transit van ( Exhaust side ) had to replace the cat and centre pipe, has they was full of oil
the more you applied the revs the worse the smoke was.
could be the same with yours???

all running well but still need to check my plumbing as per my other post !!

I needed to clean out my intercooler so I simply jacked the can up on the drivers side, disconnect the intercooler pipe from the turbo and pour a gallon of petrol down into the intercooler and left it for an hour to soak.I the disconnected the bottom hose on passenger side and caught all the dirty fuel/oil in a tray ,recobbect after leaving it to vent for an hour and puuurrrrrfect ,smooth and no smoke after a short drive
