2018 Range Rover SVAutobiography 5.0 SC V8 Santorini Black

Hi Rambles

I think your vehicle has a bigger underlying problem. My MY11.5 has, from the factory, ran the pre-heater for only 17 minutes and has the AGM battery. After 17 minutes, it is HOT inside.

Maybe the dealers and LR should test mine against the newer models as after a full cycle mine literally creates a hot flow of air when i open the drivers door and is even warming up the leather a bit by then(though i still wish it turned the heating seat elements on for 4 minutes and the wheels!)

If I had paid the amount of money the MY 11 and on cost and still had a cold car after using the FBH i wouldn't be happy and nothing against LR but the fix's do seem a bit 'heath robinson'.

I even went as far as applying for a job on the JLR site and put in the cover letter that i could help them with the issue Very Happy but I think that was a bit cheeky!! FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

You cant really claim that there is a problem with Rambles car unless the ambient temperature in your location is the same as Rambles. 17min with an outside temp of 5deg may make a toasty interior, but when it is -12deg ouside it is almost certainly going to still be chilly inside.

I can't really add to the thread as I have not had cause to test my FBH yet, although I can confirm that on my old MY11 the interior was warm....but you could not start the car due to a flat battery. At least I was cosy whilst waiting for LR assist. *Gone* Discovery3 HSE

You could be right.
So far I have been struggling with LR to get my car sorted so I could at least get 17 minutes rather than the 8 -10 minutes I was routinely getting. Until now I had put the poor FBH performance down to the lack of battery ooooomph.
Hopefully now I can see how the FBH performs over the 17 minutes, and can ask LR to ckeck it if all it can do is take the edge of the cold in the cabin rather than make it toasty.
When testing mine, it doesn't really start generating warm air to speak off until after about 7 or 8 minutes, and you can't hear the fuel pump start clicking until about 3 minutes after it has started up.

When you operate yours, how long after it starts until you hear the fuel pump clicking away?
