Rear calliper v's handbrake shoe | |
On my 2006 S/C I have a warm rear offside wheel after driving and occasional on-road vibration.
Thinking it was a binding caliper I had the wheel off last night, took off calliper and pushed piston in back. When remounted calliper it was free to move side to side, pumped the foot brake and the slack was taken up.
Driving to work today no vibration or brake squeak but that offside rear wheel was still warmer than the others.
Pads looked good in condition and disc was clean and shiny.
I didn't take the hub off to check the park brake springs.
Is there anything I should check before getting a new calliper?
I thought wheel bearing would cause noise before it got to the 'heat' stage.
Cheers,
Grant
