Simes yes that was the point I was tring to explain.

I have a few RR's and have a fairly good relationship with my dealer. They are bluggers and they will do anything to make a sale. This includes swopping wheels from one vehicle to another - if its in stock and pre owned they will do it! A lot of people prefer 20" - hence they and 19" get swopped out on a regular basis

It just makes me wonder if your car is in such good condition, it has either been driven fairly hard or the wheels swopped. Yes they are the correct style for an 07 spec TDV8, and the tyres may be original to the rim, but that doesn't mean that they were originally on this vehicle.

I would haggle like mad, 3mm of tread on a RR is poor and they need replacing asap. I know the legal limit is 1.6mm or thereabouts but on a 3 ton RR thats a joke - hence I dump mine at 4mm. I would expect to see 3mm tread left at around 25k miles. Mine are used off road and for towing if its any guide.

Excellent!

I'd perhaps wrangle for an oil change/service as a sweetner on the deal - and a set of tyres if you can - otherwise contact Dan on this forum for one of his deals for new wheels and tyres that are usually cheaper than just buying new tyres!

I also prefer the 19" rims - no worrying about using it off road or hitting kerbs, the tyres are cheaper, you get more tyre choice and the ride is better. But the 20" to some do look better!

Off topic, but when I get time I might put together a list of service costs from new, any faults experienced, purchase costs, sale and depreciation costs etc - all main dealer. Then again it might be too SCAREY to read! Rolling with laughter

I must admit I prefer the 19" rims for the same reason - smoother ride too. 20's or more and it starts looking a bit too Cheshire.
