2006 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Java Black
ID my wheels please!

When I bought my car, it had 4 20" wheels on it. I did spot that the spare was different and wa a 19", and pointed this out to the dealer, but he said that it had come in like that and they didn't have the 5th 20" wheel. OK, I can live with that.

Using my trusty slide rule, I've checked the wheel circumferences and for the 19, fitted with a 255/55 tyre, vs the 20 fitted with a 255/50, the difference in circumference *should* be 0.012 inch, ie probably not worth worrying about and no more or less than you'd get if you had slightly unevenly worn tyres either side of an axle (not a good thing, but if you had to put a spare on when the tyres were halfway worn this would happen anyway I reckon.....).

Anyway, to get to the point Very Happy The 19" looks brand new and so does the Michelin tyre on it, so I'd like to sell or swap the 19 and get a proper 20 so that I know I'm covered. So, I need to know what these wheels are that I've got. I think the 20s are standard S/C wheels? But not sure about the 19. Here are the pics:

So can you tell me what model of wheel eaqch one is please so that I can advertise them accurately. Obviously I'll write a proper FS/W ad but in the meantime if anyone's interested or got a 20 for sale, please let me know!

They look like the original supercharged ones, but those centre caps look dodgy - you would need to remove the wheels and look to see what's written on the back to see if they are genuine.

You can probably find cheaper, but here's one on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-RANGE-RO...2a11c5b6ed

I think it's just a sticker fallen off the centre cap, I only noticed it today when i took the picture!

Thanks, so the 19 is a standard and the 20s are real or aftermarket S/Cs. I'll go ahead on that basis.

+1 supercharged.

One of my centre caps started to look Censored when the lacquer failed and the black sticker started to bubble and lift.

As previously said there will be LR logos etc on the rear of the spokes.

Thumbs Up

!

Plan is to buy a 20" with the correct size tyre for just that eventuality! I'll buy one as soon as one comes up, but just putting the 19" up now anyway to get it moving.

Depends how far you travel - I've got 2 sets of 5 wheels & tyres - I have the right spare for the winter tyres too - a bit OTT, but makes me happy Smile
