Which company supplies the best/cheapest warranty!?

I have an 07 range which is out of dealer warranty, so i need an aftermarket one !

Plus I may possibly be getting a 2012 conversion done and I'm wondering is it worth having the conversion done before or after I take out the warranty? Anyone had experience with this and their conversions ?
Yours truly

I have a warranty with Warranties Direct, cost seems OK, and they include 'wear and tear' items as well (except from brake discs pads and tyres of course). I haven't had to claim yet, so can't comment on how good it really is! Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

My current warranty is due to expire in a month or so, so I went on to Warranty Direct website and got a quote of nearly £1300 for non-franchised dealer rates.
They then phoned me and after commenting on how expensive it seemed, they then offered my franchised dealer rates for £775!
I've found this before with WD. If you bide your time, they almost always offer you a much better deal if you seem disinterested! Thumbs Up

I had cover with them on my BMW and used them once to replace a broken spring, which they covered 75% of the part price (due to the mileage on the car at the time) and paid the full labour at a BMW dealer. The only drawback was that despite the BMW dealer being on their "list", and the work was approved immediately, I still had to pay the bill upfront and claim it back. Seemed a bit daft, but that seems to be how they work with franchised garages. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black
Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey

I had my F150 with Olympic and the prices weren't too bad the only down side was the amount of a single claim wasn't very high so when looking please check the amount they will pay out on a single claim also certain warrantys won't cover switches and the like so buyer beware

Hi I've had warranty wise on a couple of cars and they have always paid out with a minimum of fuss.

Having said this I think you need to be reasonable on what you claim for......£5 claim for something, maybe not but I see the warranty as a backup should all things go pear shaped.

I've just been quoted £775 from WD Inc AV/nav etc. 1st quote so well see if they offer a lower price. How much is a warranty wise policy?

I found this a while back - may be worth running your options through?

I don't think LR offer the warranty once its been lapsed for a period of time, do they?

Mercedes & Porsche do, i called LR some time ago and they told me they don't offer it.

I'm with Warranty Direct, and yes, they can be haggled with . . . . . not only with price, but also cover. My car, for example should have had a reduced level of cover from 80k until I said I wasn't happy - they agreed with the previous level and gave me another month for no cost.

The best people to ask are probably the people doing the work. My specialist, DLS, have had three customers who have made claims through WD with no problem - that's why I went with them.

Thumbs Up Where do you go after one of these . . . ?
