I have had two eBay buyers turn up to collect things in decatted 4.4's and they were very happy with their sound... Stood outside both cars i think they sounded ridiculous IMHO. I live on a fast road so at times you have to accelerate hard out of our driveway...

It.s been talked about on here quite a lot recently and with the new MOT regulations that just came in to force , if a vehicle had a CAT fitted at manufacture and it has subsequently had it removed that is a straight fail . 2008 MY Supercharged

^^^^^ What he said, with the proviso that the car being tested is subject to a full cat test. Some older petrol engined cars had cats fitted at manufacture but were not subject to a full cat test.

Is anybody aware of whether sports cats are available for the FFRR? If so would they still be caught out by the new MOT regs? Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining! |

Why not cut out the oem cat and weld flanges on the exhaust and cat and make a de cat pipe that will go between then all you have to do mot time is bolt in your cat onto no6 Range Rover

I'd just find somewhere breaking a 4.4 and see if they have some used cat's instead Bash the guts out and away you go.

Yep, exactly what I've seen done in the past. As for emissions testing, find a quiet country garage where the sniffer could accidentally be shoved into a different vehicle. |

seems like a lot of hassle to me for a few bhp ....get sports cats - you can get them custom made for any car for a few hundred quid...but you need 2, so it could be £7-800 for about 5bhp that you wont even notice on a 2.5ton vehicle cheers
