Battery for a range rover - but it is a Sport!

Hi there

I did post this on an another forum site but haven't had much response - I have been having trouble with my wife's car, a 2007 RRS TDV6 - we have been having lots of erroneous error messages, normally on startup when cold, which once cleared come straight back even though there is no fault.

Working on the premise that the battery on these cars is a weak spot, I am going to swap it out, could someone advise as to what the best battery to replace with is - i believe there are better more powerful batteries available than the standard supplied battery - is this correct? If so which make/type is best for an easy swap over.

many thanks in advance for any advice offered.

I'd suggest to do a search here on the forum as there are many battery related threads. Most important is Ah (capacity) the higher the better and CCA, the higher the better, especially for diesel engines. So first check if you can have a bigger size battery than you have now, I mean physical size and then go for the better brands (but have look around the forum on recommendations of brands and shops). MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Go for the largest (physical size) Varta or Bosch battery you can get in the space.

Thanks for the input, I will search the web to find out which higher Ah capacity battery will fit without too much needing to change.
Scarey - Apologies if I shouldn't have asked this question here, I posted here to hopefully get a reply from Duckworths, and a potential purchase from them - i did ask on PH on the more generic Land Rover section with little luck. The RRS being my wife's car I have not had the need to ask too many questions and had not joined any RRS forums.
Apologies again...
