Fan noises

I have tonight been out trying to solve my FBH touchscreen problem with no avail. When sitting in the car and turning the key to position 1 i noticed a fan type noise that seems to be coming from the left passenger side in behind the CD Changer area, no fans any where else in position 1.

Its not from the FBH as i opened the bonnet

Any one have any ideas as to what this could be. I didnt think that there was anything over there other than the vents in the footwell and side vents and there is nothing coming out of them.

Hi
I've suffered from this 'fan' noise coming from the glovebox.

When I opened the bonnet it's definitely coming from behind the engine bay and is intermittent.

Any ideas would be much welcomed, BTW it's not fan dependent, even wilth blower off it still happens on occasion.

Yep pulled fuse 59 which is for the FHB but did not make any difference. It is definatly in by the glovebox but i can not quite pin point it. I opened the bonnet and could not hear anything in there.

Are you sure it's not coming from your temperature control
Panel below your screen???
And you can hear the fan at the rear which draws air through and across the

As earlier, I don't know if it's the same but it does happen when the FBH is on and also can happen when the car is unlocked.

Problem is it's intermittent so a bit tricky to pull the fuse as most times it does not whine for long enough to get to the fuse.

As per Renegade it is defo located in the glovebox region, not engine bay, not anywhere on the dash except in the glovebox.

Thx for the ideas

I'm sure I read on here a while back about a fan in the glove box area, that circulated the air when the car was first unlocked. I think it was something to do with interior temp sensors ( Although I can't find it any more in 'search')
