Brake caliper options

It looks like I need a new o/s front brake caliper after 2 attemps at repair

The piston is pitted and after a strip down and lubrication it works for a few months then starts to seize again

I have been looking at costs for a replacement and it would appear that £150 is the damage Shocked
The thing is, I believe that they are the same as a BMW X5 and I can pick one of these up for £55

Can any of you fine fellows shead some light on this for me please?

Its a 2004 FF diesel

Hi Tesh, look through the wheel at the calliper, you should be able to see a bmw part number,on the calliper.
If you can go to euro car parts and ask to see the £82 calliper and cross check the number.
mine was the cheaper one, even the guy behind the desk could not believe the same part was double the price on the range rover.I think all the older range rovers were X5 underneath, check the X5 front calliper it's the same part number has the 5 series and still only £82 Rolling Eyes
Good look Ash
