When were the Mk4 maps last updated on the DVD ?

I updated my maps DVD to a 2009 and was slightly surprised to be travelling on green fields (according to the Sat Nav) driving south of Reims last year (must have been a new section of autoroute) - does anyone know if it is possible to check when the maps were last updated - I don't want to pay for the latest disc if the maps are the same ?

you'll get newer mapping and some new bits on the screen and tbh of which i cant remember cos i upgraded mine when i got my range ...but you do loose the nav on the go function..

this is the 2009/10 disc, the 2011/12 disc only has new maps.. ... - .- -.

Question....

If one upgrades to the latest maps and firmware, is it possible to re-enable the 'nav on the go' functionality or is it gone for good?

I find myself changing/entering destinations whilst on the move quite a lot (and not just to places I know about in advance!) - equally my original discs (2007MY) really are now pretty out of date!!

Cheers! -----------------------------------------------

once you stick the 2009/10 disc in then you cant re-enable the nav on the go function, the new firmware takes care of that...

now if you bypass that disc and upgrade to the mapping only 2011/12 disc then 'possibly' you'll still have that function but i dont really know tbh... ... - .- -.

we are talking about the map for the mk4 unit, non touch screen.i was told that some early touch screens had mk4 units but have never seen it. V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.
