Diesel Purge

I have recently acquired a 2003 TD6, my 1st ever Diesel. Have gone through the mountain of info here and elsewhere and have fitted a vortex breather, removed egr valve and remove and cleaned to sparkling the inlet manifold of the thick sludge inside. The final piece a plug in tuning chip box. The car is transformed. Along the way I came across a product called Diesel Purge, thought that sounded a good idea so picked up a can. Looking at the fuel filter and how to`s on you tube I am not sure how to connect the hoses. Has anyone used this? Is it any good? which hose is the flow and return,

Rather than go to all the bother of faffing about with hoses why not buy a new fuel filter and fill it up with the product then start and drive the vehicle as normal

That sounds like an excellent idea especially as a fuel filter is near the top of my to do list. Any views on the product?
