Will this work?

I want to upgrade my sat nav to the MK4 system, but ebay sellers want silly money. However, I found this and was wondering if I could swap it with the drive in mine:

I wouldn't think so unless you have a MK4 unit with a knackered DVD drive? I'd imagine there are more differnces than just the disc drive. I could of course be wrong Laughing (again)

I paid about 400 for mine, it was from a BMW so had the BMW splash screen, not a problem with a firmware update with a LR CD.

I then sold my MK3 for £200 so really it was only a £200 upgrade..
