Hi, I've got the Vogue SE with the standard 19" alloys, but I'm sure somewhere I read that if you put larger alloys on you had to recalibrate the air suspension etc ( or do the wheels and tyres overall diameter still equal your old ones i.e. old ones presumably 19" + higher profile tyres , new ones 22" with very low profile tyres)?

That will be the usual code fault on the FFRR, most likely it's the small compressor valve inside the boot under the spare wheel that probably just needs taken out and cleaned as sometimes it gets jammed.

I had very similar problems with my suspension when i first got the car - after cleaning out the compressor dump valve in the boot all has been ok its a simple job to do the compressor is in the spare wheel well. there is a thread on here that gave me enough info to do it, after changing a wheel / wheels im sure there is a procedure to follow thru your navigation set up screen to reset distance you should try this first (RTM)- From memory this was how to clean valve..

Where is the air intake for the air suspension by the way? I presume it takes air from the cabin (as it would be cleaner and not require a vulnerable external intake. Is the air filtered or dried (I am assuming not).

No stock RR ever came with 22" wheels firstly. The rolling circumference of the factory 18", 19" and 20" alloys with the standard tyre sizes are all the same. If you fit aftermarket tyres or larger alloys such as 22", then you are messing with the basics. What effect this has exactly I am not sure, have never seen the point of 22" wheels. Just a quick update, I got the fault fixed and it was indeed the exhaust valve and the drier on the compressor, many thanks for all the assistamce. |

The compressor is under the black cover (coated underneath in soundproofing) that looks like a tank under the spare wheel. Remove a few screws and you're in.
