Hi mate Am looking at the CTEK's at the mo for my TD6, and the cigarette plug adapter for it, will it charge overnight as wasnt sure if the cigarette lighter in the car was a constant live? Cheers in advance |

The 12V socket in the boot is always live (in my case anyway). The cabin ones are not. Graham

Both cigarette lighters in the cabin and the boot aux socket in the boot are permanently live in my car.

What's the advantage in using the sockets? I'm clamping my CTek MXS 7.00 ,directly onto the2 points designated for jump leads, exterior to the battery box--the power comes in under the bonnet, above the vertical air vents inlets. The bonnet remains closed and thealarm on.
