Right, ive had a look and if i have it hard on lock the heater works only when i start to straighten up does it turn off, so bad conection on the steering wheel, can i use wd40 or had i better get some electrical spray |

Right, ive had the wheel off and the only fault i can find is with the assembly that allows you to turn the steering and keep electrical contact, |

I would try and get the part replaced rather than use the wires from the Voice button. It may be a PITA, but just think of it as another one-off cost.

The heated steering wheel takes alot more power than the "voice button" so the power rating for the wires are lower and you will probably burn out the steering wheel slip ring...

Thanks guys, all taken on board, think i'll wait a bit as ive just spent £1200 on having the rear bushes replaced, ( Oh got a pair of rear drive shafts with dammaged ends if any one needs some |
