United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Santorini Black
Battery discharge

I wonder if anybody on this site can possibly help. The dealers are at a loss so if you think you might be able to help please reply. Car at moment is with dealer so some urgency.

Background. Bought Range Rover TDV8 new in April 2009. 14 months later battery was flat. Since this time on about eight different and random circumstances this has happened again. Land Rover assistance noted battery drain but once the car is started the fault disappears until the next time. Dealer has been unable to identify fault while car is with them. Last episode was when car was at home but dealer insisted they started car to look at it and of course when back at the garage no fault found.

Any suggestions? Chris C

It's a reasonably common fault - Use the magical, amazing, totally unbelievable "Search" button on the top of the page^^^^^^^^^ and you'll get some pointers. It's better than Siri - Honest!

If you're lucky you'll end up spending the next 5 hours in the time warp that is the forum archive and come out knowing all sorts of amazing things you didn't before about your FF...

Lots of info on here regarding battery discharge. Gain as much in as possible and then speak to your dealer. If your dealer can not find a fault and not prepared to renew your battery, then change your dealer. There are lots in Hampshire.

Good luck. Current MY2020

I had similar and it needed a software upgrade, as all the electronics were not shutting down correctly.
Eventually sorted by LR assist, as dealer was useless.
