England 2007 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Java Black
First Commute In The Bomber

WOW. What a vehicle.

Making the switch to the Vogue TDV8 is the best thing I've done in years. I have a 300-350 mile commute. On Tuesday i sold a Jaguar XK and got my Rangey. On the drive home today I got from Heathrow to Lincoln in 2 hours 30 minutes, and got 30.2mpg! I've averaged 28.4 mpg since fill up on Tuesday which was a lot of stop-start crap o the M25 and around Heathrow. At this rate I'll see 600 miles on a tank.

Bloody amazing!

I was quite pleased with 13.5 mpg in my S/C today! Still it is at 66.7 pence per litre, so works out at 27mpg compared to diesel. Only a third of the Range though unless I use both LPG and Petrol tanks!

TDV8 sounds great! Thumbs Up Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

I miss Dunston, ex GF worked in the pub many years ago. My parents are in Branston and I work at Heathrow funnily enough.

What was your average speed? Thinking of a 4.4 TDV8 in a couple of years to replace the LPG wagon. 2012 4.4 TDV8 Westminster

I'm keeping it for now.... Been very useful so far (twice) as a spare car when the FF breaks down or needs "mending"... Very Happy Graham

Ha ha, small world. Dunston is lovely.

Not sure what my average speed was, I didn't set the trip for that but it's 150 miles in 2.5 hours, so around 60? I wasn't hanging about particularly. Obviously there's the 15 miles of 50 mph average speed limit on the M1 before you cut across the A421 to A1, but I was sat mostly around 75 ish I guess.
