I suppose you could always chose to turn down commissions where the customer exhibits little to no taste. (imo)

IMHO it's just not the proper FFRR image, those massive yet pointless and not fit for purpose 22" alloys for example. Every time I've seen a car with them on, they're F***ed all over, dings, scrapes, kerb damage etc. They are not designed for a car that does what a RR does (add in a lack of driving and parking talent by the people who have more money than sense and it's a killer combination) Shocked

I don't like any of the aftermarket sh*te you see being glued onto Range Rovers, Arden being one of the worst of all, they look bl@@dy awful.

However, if there are people dumb and rich enough to pay for it then top marks for relieving them of their drug dealing money. Rolling with laughter Discovery 4 HSE

Well the taste of that driver leaves little to be desired tbh.

I an see the point in some of the bits, like the coded side tubes, more covering rear valances and the quilted seats but some of the colours..... They aren't bad mind, £1200 iirc for new trim.

At least with the pink one you kept the floating roof theme!

I think these products appeal more to the average Semi Skimmed owner than a full fat tbh

It makes the car look cheap. Not sure it was what Charles King had in mind when he penned the Range Rover. Paul

If we are going to grace this thread with his name, let's make sure we use it properly as he is 'The King'

welcome Martin Thumbs Up , not sure you want to hear this, but it absolutely mystifies me why some "people" would want Kahn letters stuck to their bonnet and tail gate or emroidered on their perfectly good leather seats. Plus the styling of some stuff is absolutely shocking and doesn't do the RR any favours - mind you some Overfinch stuff is ghastly as well. But each to their own, its their money and they can do what they want with it.

Got a couple of questions:

What do you actually do to the leather - do you get rid of the Range Rover leather or just restitch etc?
Do you only ever 'upgrade' Vogue spec cars?

Welcome along Martin, I admire your balls to join and post in what you've probably noted is a "hostile" environment to say the least!

My neighbour bought a white RRS last winter after I had quashed his idea that an ML was a real 4x4!! When he got the RRS it looked OKish, but he still had some work to be done, which included the quilted leather interior. I was and still remain unconvinced that it looked better once it had been "Kahned". He also had to have the body kit removed and refitted due to the filler that was used on it was a different colour from the car and looked really cheap. Second time round it looked better.

As most people have already said on here, people pay their money and take their choice, but in my eyes, your cars are too blingy, but I welcome your interest in perhaps producing something with a bit more "class" and a lot less "bling".

I could make reference to the types of people I see driving Kahn cars in Glasgow, but I would be accused of racism and I am by no means racist............. Whistle Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
